Ethan Sellers
Ethan Sellers is a true example
of a dedicated artist. He spends his days in a rarely-interrupted
pursuit of a greater understanding of music and the music
business. This dedication comes out in his large number of
songs, each of them thoughtful and distinctive.
Sellers' acoustic solo shows
(which, paradoxically, tend to feature guest musicians) focus
on the strength of his lyrics, guitar, and vocal work. To
attend one of these performances is to get to know an entertaining
oddball's take on the absurdities of life.
After years of work on keyboards, voice and composition, Sellers
picked up an acoustic guitar left behind at his apartment around the time
of Tautologic's inception in 1997. He began writing songs on the
instrument quickly, and began performing solo sets with the instrument two
years later.

in Chicago, Nevin's Live (Evanston, IL), Mother Fool's Coffeehouse
(Madison, WI), Velvet Lounge (Washington, DC), the Ground Floor
(Newark, DE), and held a weekly residence at Uncommon Ground,
hosting the CHAT Acoustic Showcase.
